Where is my data stored?

Research Say utilises the public cloud to develop, build and deploy all its infrastructure and services. Specifically, Research Say utilises Amazon Web Services (AWS) for all its cloud hosting and server infrastructure.

All data, including backups, are hosted within a data centre in Sydney, NSW, Australia.

The AWS Data Centres that hosts Research Say’s customer information assets are housed in a secure nondescript facility and physical access is strictly controlled both at the perimeter and at the building ingress points.

How many emails will I receive if I become a member?

You can control how often you get emails from Research Say by editing your profile and selecting which notifications you would like to receive.

Why do you need personal details?

We encourage all members to complete their personal details on the 'My Profile' page. This information helps us create and maintain a diverse pool of consumers that accurately represents the Australian population.

You may be asked for additional personal information when you participate in a specific project. These details ensure you meet the eligibility criteria for that particular study. Rest assured, this information will not be shared with any other research project.

Can I participate offline?

The Research Say platform can only be used online. However, some projects may ask you to participate in activities outside of the platform, such as Zoom interviews. Please note: Research Say is not responsible for consumer engagement activities that take place outside of our platform. If you are taking part in consumer engagement activities outside of the platform, ensure you receive and sign a consent form specific to that project.

How do I monitor consumer contributions on my project page?

The Research Say team will email you a report of all the contributions made by consumers on a weekly basis (unless another timeline is requested). Otherwise, you can log into the platform to check for new contributions at any time.

24/7 Moderation

Research Say is monitored 24/7 to review content shortly after it’s posted. If a consumer contribution on your project page potentially violates our Moderation Rules, it will be temporarily removed. We will contact you to make a final decision to either delete or reinstate it.

Automated processes such as a Banned Words filter and anti-SPAM technology also help keep undesirable content from appearing on your site.
