Have you experienced sepsis or been hospitalised due to infection as a patient or loved one? Would you like to use your experience to contribute to a study looking into how Artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to help doctors detect and manage infectious diseases?
If so, we’d love to hear from you.
About this study
What if a computer could help your doctor detect an infection before you even feel sick? That is the promise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare. Researchers are working on new technologies that use AI to analyse health data and help doctors make faster, more accurate decisions.
Before this technology becomes a part of everyday medical care, its important to understand what people think about it. A new research study is being conducted to gather opinions from patients, doctors, nurses and other healthcare staff. The study will use surveys and interviews to explore people’s views.
Who we're looking for and what we're asking you to do
We’re looking for people with lived experience of sepsis or severe infection as a patient or loved one to provide feedback on our interview questions for patients. We want to make sure we are asking the right questions in the right way. This will involve reading the interview questions and providing written or verbal feedback to the lead investigator. We anticipate this will take no more than two hours of your time.
How you will be supported
You will have an initial meeting with the lead investigator to make sure you understand the task. Your contribution will be acknowledged by being invited to be part of the author team when this study is prepared for submission to a journal. You will be offered a $50 voucher to thank you for your contribution.
Now what?
If you are interested or have questions, we’d love to hear from you. Select ‘Sign Up’ on the of this page and we will be in touch.
